- The 7000-odd islands that comprise the Philippines are the forgotten islands of southeast Asia .

- 299,000 km2, 84.61 million million inhabitants.

-My impression: The place is laid back. People are always smiling and friendly. Made some really good friends there.The first few monthes were wonderful. Some of the islands have the best beaches I've ever seen. But somehow, the country lacks of this sense of identity that makes it unique and outstanding. Very similar for the lanscape to Indonesia: volcanos, beaches.. many islands with different character.
